The process of adding polyaluminium chloride using the physical and chemical method for sewage treatment in tanneries:
1. First, ferrous sulfate and sodium hydroxide need to be added to the sewage. Ferrous sulfate reacts with sewage to oxidize and decompose some macromolecules and make the suspended matter in the water undergo a preliminary flocculation effect;
2. Continue to add polyaluminium chloride to the sewage to promote further flocculation reaction so that the suspended matter in the sewage condenses into floccules;
3. Add hydrogen peroxide to the sewage to decolorize the sewage;
4. Finally, sodium hydroxide needs to be added to the sewage to adjust the pH value of the sewage. At the same time, polyacrylamide needs to be added to the sewage for secondary flocculation to ensure clear effluent.
Because the quality and amount of effluent from each tannery are different, the treatment method and amount of water treatment agent used by each tannery must be further determined through experiments, so that it can be accurate, improve the effect of water treatment, and reduce costs.
The general causes of floating sludge may be as follows:
1. Floating sludge in the secondary sedimentation tank of the biochemical pool effluent. Floating sludge caused by sludge expansion and poor sedimentation performance of activated sludge;
2. Floating sludge caused by adding inorganic flocculants. Floating sludge caused by excessive polyacrylamide dosage or excessive polyacrylamide in some areas due to incomplete dissolution of polyacrylamide;
3. Floating sludge caused by overload operation of the sedimentation tank;
4. Untimely sludge discharge causes anaerobic fermentation of the bottom sludge, resulting in floating sludge.
If the above reasons are excluded, more data on the occurrence of this situation in the factory is needed to determine the cause of the floating sludge.
